For years, EviDenS de Beauté has been a renowned presence on the 5th Floor of Harrods’ prestigious Hair & Beauty section.
Now, the luxury beauty brand has taken its Japanese technology and French elegance to the heart of Harrods’ Beauty Halls on the Ground Floor. This move celebrates a blossoming partnership with Harrods, bringing customers an elevated experience that combines the art of skincare with luxury.
Founded by Charles-Edouard Barthes, EviDenS de Beauté is a haute cosmetics house that intertwines Japan’s high-tech beauty secrets with French refinement. Inspired by the Japanese Kaizen philosophy—meaning a commitment to continuous improvement—the brand meticulously selects high-quality active ingredients to craft powerful skincare formulas.
With the launch of the new counter, EviDenS de Beauté aims to engage high-end consumers through a retail experience that mirrors the perfectionism of Kaizen.
This permanent counter has been designed to showcase EviDenS de Beauté’s unique “Saho” (さほ) concept. Unlike a typical beauty ritual, the Saho approach is a layered, skincare-enhancing ceremony that offers limitless ways to achieve radiant skin.
Adorned in the brand’s signature navy blue lacquer and satin gold brass, the counter’s aesthetic honours the French aristocratic roots of its founder, with an elegant coat of arms displayed as a tribute to Barthes’ family heritage.
The luxurious new counter features multiple zones for personal consultations, dedicated spaces for key product ranges, and educational areas where customers can explore the brand’s unique philosophy and skincare technology.
Produced with 97% recycled materials, the counter’s eco-conscious design speaks to a commitment to sustainability. A standout feature is the red-lacquered display for the brand’s Extreme collection, which features a reverse-working brass clock, symbolising the brand’s mastery over time through its skincare.
In celebration of Harrods’ 175th anniversary, EviDenS de Beauté has created a limited-edition, jumbo version of its iconic bestseller, The Special Mask.
Starting in mid-November, customers who purchase this Special Mask Jumbo will receive it wrapped in an exclusive EviDenS de Beauté x Harrods Furoshiki—a nod to Japan’s traditional art of gift wrapping.
Reflecting on this new chapter, founder Charles-Edouard Barthes expressed his pride: “It is with immense pride that we celebrate the opening of our new EviDenS de Beauté counter in The White Hall. Since our early days with Harrods in 2011, we have shared a common vision to provide our customers with the very best in beauty. I am so proud of the brand and everyone that has been working in the company. It is a dream made possible by everyone.”
