Burberry Launches Sustainable Childrenswear Capsule for the Festive Season

Burberry proudly introduces the Remake capsule, a childrenswear collection featuring over 30 unique styles crafted from surplus fabrics and yarns from previous collections. Launching just in time for the festive season, this capsule highlights Burberry’s commitment to circularity through innovative design.


With a history of dressing younger generations that spans more than 150 years, Burberry first ventured into childrenswear in 1911, using surplus fabrics to create resourceful designs.


This legacy continues with the Remake capsule, which spans a range of categories, including:

  • Miniature outerwear styles

  • Jersey hoodies and sweatshirts

  • Mouliné knits that pair perfectly with shorts or kilts in contrasting checks



In a nod to sustainability, selected designs feature a "multiple owners" label to encourage passing these timeless pieces down through generations.


Caroline Laurie, VP of Corporate Responsibility at Burberry, shared her enthusiasm for the initiative: “Our rich history in craftsmanship spans many categories, including childrenswear, and we are delighted to bring this special capsule to life in time for the festive season. Through our dedication to circularity, we were able to transform surplus fabrics and yarns into a capsule that will add another chapter to this wonderful story.”


Playful Designs for a Circular Future

The collection showcases creative reinterpretations of iconic Burberry motifs, including:

  • The Duck Emblem: A playful archival design from 1992, revived and featured on ready-to-wear garments, cashmere-blend socks, and a baby gift set comprising a cashmere hat and sweater.

  • The Thomas Bear Teddy: Reinvented in a patchwork design, this iconic symbol further reinforces the capsule’s circular ethos.



The Remake capsule is celebrated through the ‘Wrapped In Burberry’ campaign, a series of portraits and videos capturing the joy and spirit of the festive season. The collection is now available in stores and online at Burberry.com, offering sustainable and stylish options for the younger generation this holiday season.
